Printmaking
Tuesday, January 21

Join us at Soaring Arts on Tuesday, January 21st from 5:30-7:30 to learn the basics of linoleum printmaking.
In this class, you will learn how to hand-carve and print one to two mono-color linoleum block prints from start to finish. By the end of the session, everyone will have a reusable carved block and at least six 4”x6” printed cards to take home.
We will have several image references for you to choose to use or feel free to bring a few sketches or drawings along as well. For the beginner class, one color images with lots of contrast work best.
This class works for both beginners and experienced artists who would like a refresher course or the challenge of a new medium. However, it does involve using cutting tools to carve the linoleum, so it is not advised for young children unless they will be working one-on-one with a family member or parent.
The class fee is $28!
This includes valuable instruction and all the supplies needed to cut and print 6 cards of your choice. You will also take the linoleum block home with you so that you can print additional items if you’d like.

Crayon Night
Tuesday, January 28
4:00-7:00
Join us at Soaring Arts on Tuesday, January 28th from 4:30-7:00 for an Open Studio Night! This is a time to get creative, with the theme this month of:” Creating with Crayons!”
You can come at any time from 4-7. You can stay for a half an hour or create all night. We will have several different project ideas and stations set-up for you to choose to work on (from crayon collaging to crayon melting.) Studio Artists will also be available to assist you with your projects, ideas and will be creating alongside you!
All ages and abilities are welcome. We do ask that kids under 8 are accompanied by an adult.
The Open Studio fee for the night is $10
This includes value instruction and all the supplies needed to create and experiment with crayons, and then to take your creations home!
This class does not require pre-payment/pre-registration.

Paint your Partner Night

5:30-7:00
Are you looking for a fun qnd maybe even “funny” experience for Valentine’s Day with a loved one? If so, look no further!
Grab a date (couples, friends, family or even a stranger) and join us at Soaring Arts on Tuesday, February 11 at 5:30!
What will happen?
You’ll each be given an 11”x14” canvas, easel and all the painting supplies you’ll need to paint your partner, who will be seated across from you! One of our Artists will lightly guide you in the basics of drawing the proportions of a face and its features!
Then, you’ll go to town, creating and painting your “version” of your partner. Your partner won’t get to see the finished masterpiece until the final reveal at the end! It’s funny! It’s fun! It’s a lighthearted and fun evening to spend together, focused on each other!
All ages and abilities are welcome. We do ask that kids under 8 are accompanied by an adult.
The class fee is $50 per couple.
This includes all the supplies needed to complete two 11”x14” paintings on a stretched canvas, as well as the valuable instruction of our Artists!

Pokemon Painting
February 27

Are you a Pokémon Fan? Do you enjoy the anime culture? Well, if so, we are holding a class just for YOU!
Join us at Soaring Arts on Thursday, February 27th (NATIONAL POKÉMON DAY) at 5:30 to create this amazing painting!
This piece will include techniques in spray-paint, acrylics and the use of paint markers! This variety will make the class interesting and overall fun experience for those who participate!
One of our Artists and staff will instruct you in creating this “Umbreon” painting from start to finish!
All ages and abilities are welcome. We do ask that kids under 8 are accompanied by an adult.
